Who we are
Smart Graphix is a web design, graphic design and video marketing studio founded and run by Alin Nistoran, based at 172 Manor Square, Dagenham RM8 3RX, United Kingdom. Alin is responsible for the personal information described in this notice (the “data controller”). What we collect and why
WhatsApp, email and phone. When you contact us, we receive what you send: usually your name, phone number or email address, and your message. We use it only to reply and, if you become a client, to deliver our services. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
Our contact form. If you choose WhatsApp, the form turns what you type into a WhatsApp message, and nothing is sent until you press send in WhatsApp. If you choose email, what you type (your name, email address, business name, the service you picked and your message) is sent to our inbox through our web host’s email server, together with your connection’s IP address, which we use to block spam. We use it only to reply to you and, if you become a client, keep it as part of our business records.
WhatsApp. Messages sent to us on WhatsApp are handled by WhatsApp (part of Meta) under its own privacy policy.
Website analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website (for example, which pages are visited and how people found us). Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser. We don’t use it to identify you personally.
Embedded content. Our contact page shows a Google Maps map, and archive videos on our blog come from YouTube (they only load from YouTube when you click play). These services may set their own cookies.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run our business: our web and email hosting provider, WhatsApp, and Google (Analytics, Maps and YouTube). Some of these may process data outside the UK under their own safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries only for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows, and client records for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting purposes.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict it. To do any of these, contact us using the details above. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
